The Artist Speaks
"Nathan Budgepoker and Iluminare Gold" is an early painting I did to begin fleshing out an adventure story. When the Illuminare Knights were disbanded by the king of Anigia their infamous wealth disappeared with them. Budgepoker, the gnome with the pipe, joins a group of adventurers who follow this legend in search of the lost treasure. Budgepoker is an illusionist and a jokester who makes images from the smoke of his pipe.
